Purpose of Event
The Prince George's County Scholastic Awards was created by community members who were involved in various aspects of youth baseball. The founder's realized that playing sports was only one aspect of youth development, but that achievement in the academic arena is the most important goal.
The event was thus created to recognize student-athletes who excelled in the classroom, served their community through volunteer efforts, and also contributed to their teams success.
The selected student's represent those young men and women who will be future leader's of Prince George's County.
